There have been glimpses of Wavestation technology in other keyboards such as the OASYS and Kronos, and there’s even Korg’s own virtual recreation of the Wavestation in the form of a plug-in, but the Wavestate is a new piece of hardware, fully dedicated to wave sequencing and synthesis. Players familiar with the classic, early ‘90s Korg Wavestation synths and related sound modules have had a decades-long love affair with the ever-evolving sounds, lush textures, and ambient sounds that the Wavestation was capable of producing. To install programs/performances import the files using the Wavestate librarian. You should then install the programs then the performances. To install you must install the sample bank first and have 1GB of Bank storage and 42MB of sample Ram available on your Wavestate. Some samples have also been processed using Mr Wiggly’s incinerator plugin.
If you play very high notes you might experience aliasing and noticeable looping. Most of the multi-samples (with a few exceptions) have been constructed to be played in the range of the wavestate keyboard. Volume 9 features brand new multisamples from the, Arturia Matrixbrute, Behringer 2600, Dreadbox Erebus, Hammond Organ, Korg Minologue XD, Kurzweil K2000R, Moog Grandmother, Roland AX Edge and Roland Tr8. The addition of user multi-samples has allowed the character from other synthesisers to live inside our Wavestate.
Volume 9 contains 20 meticulously crafted custom performances, over 80 custom programs and 95 custom multi-samples.
